Serry Beach Resort, Egypt
Booking this hotel definitely felt like a bit of a risk, it had just opened, there were no reviews, and we had no idea what to expect. That said, I can confidently say it turned out to be one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, especially for the price we paid.
Because the hotel was brand new, we managed to book a week all-inclusive for around £700 per person, which felt incredibly affordable for what we got. Arriving at the airport in Egypt can feel a little overwhelming at first, but that feeling completely disappears the moment you step into the resort.
The aesthetics of the hotel are unmatched. Every angle, space, and detail has clearly been so thoughtfully designed, it genuinely feels like pure bliss from the moment you arrive. There are lots of different room types available, and we opted for one of the most basic rooms with no sea view. Even so, it was modern, spacious, and beautifully finished, with a lovely balcony, more than enough for a comfortable stay.
The pool area is centred around one long, striking pool that runs down the middle of the hotel, surrounded by sunbeds. The only thing to be mindful of is that you do need to wake up fairly early to secure a bed, as they fill up quickly.
The buffet was huge, with an impressive variety of food. From pizza and pasta to curries and plenty more, the options felt endless and catered to all tastes. There’s also poolside service, and we chose to tip the staff member looking after us, something we felt made a real difference, as drinks were brought around roughly every 30 minutes, which we definitely made the most of on an all-inclusive stay.
There are a few à la carte restaurants on the resort, though these do need to be booked in advance. We ate at the sushi restaurant, which was lovely, and also tried the rooftop restaurant, which was another highlight of our stay.
We didn’t actually leave the hotel during our five-day stay, but there are plenty of excursions available to book through the hotel, along with some really lovely sights and activities nearby if you do want to explore.
Overall, I genuinely couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, especially considering the incredible value for money. It exceeded every expectation and is an absolute gem.
